About
Welcome to Studio ON
Studio ON Creative Learning Centre is a welcoming, supportive and fun place where young people, teachers and community workers can explore how new technologies can be used in creative and inspiring ways.
Working with the education sector and the creative industries in Northern Ireland, we are committed to promoting and developing the effective use of ICT in teaching and learning. We provide opportunities for training, in-school and community programmes in a wide range of traditional and multi-media areas including film, animation, web-design, games design, script-writing, DJing and digital music composition. Please continue to browse our site to find out more about Studio ON and the opportunities we can offer you, your school or community centre.
Studio ON Creative Learning Centre was opened in April 2004 by Academy Award-winning film director, playwright and screenwriter Anthony Minghella CBE. Evolved through a unique partnership between The Nerve Centre and the South Eastern Education & Library Board, Studio ON is located on the site of the former O’Neill Memorial Primary School at Crossnacreevy, East Belfast. Studio ON is managed by The Nerve Centre, Derry and currently receives funding from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure. This funding is managed by Northern Ireland Screen, the national screen agency for Northern Ireland.
