- Minimum course requirements: Intermediate to advanced computer use and skills, along with a desire to use digital imaging in a curriculum area to enhance the learning experience. The participants must also have existing skills in the basic and intermediate features of Photoshop including: changing resolution, size & compression, color modes, file formats , cropping, adjustments, some filters and adding text, layers & modes, painting with the brush tool, making selections, feathering, masks, gradient fills. Adobe Photoshop is an industry standard digital imaging and manipulation software, essential to any design work from graphics to film and moving images. This Advanced course will give teachers a solid grounding in the more advanced and complex features of Photoshop such as Actions and Droplets, Displacement maps, Clipping masks, Smart filters and tools to retouch and repair images. It will give users the confidence to go on and develop their own creative uses of Photoshop. Course will contain: LPI and optimum scanning resolution for print, gradient maps, repairing and retouching images, Clipping masks and Paths, Smart objects and Filters, creating textures with Displacement maps, Layer comps, Using the Pen tool, channels and Paths, Actions and Droplets. Please note this course is limited to a maximum number of 8 participants with Preference will be given to teachers who have attended the Intermediate Photoshop course at Studio On this year.
